Steve Harwood-Gray

LLB.(Hons)

I work with successful business owners and affluent individuals who want to preserve and grow their wealth with confidence.

Many of my clients have spent decades building successful businesses or accumulating significant wealth. As they approach the next stage of life, their priorities often shift from creating wealth to protecting it, making informed decisions about retirement, and ensuring their family benefits from what they have worked so hard to build.

About

For business owners, that means planning beyond today's success. Whether you're considering an eventual business sale, reviewing employee benefits and salary sacrifice arrangements, or navigating changes to pension and tax legislation, I help you develop a strategy that supports both your business and your personal financial future.

For private clients, the focus is often on preserving wealth for future generations. Concerns around inheritance tax, frozen tax allowances, proposed changes to the inheritance tax treatment of pensions, gifting strategies, family wealth planning and the potential cost of later-life care all require careful, proactive planning. My role is to help you make informed decisions today that give you greater certainty about tomorrow.

At the heart of my advice is detailed cashflow planning. By modelling different scenarios, we can understand the long-term impact of financial decisions and build strategies that are tailored to your circumstances, goals and family.

I've been advising clients since 2006 and am proud to be a Chartered Financial Planner and Fellow of the Personal Finance Society. Before becoming a financial planner, I studied Law at King's College London and qualified as a Chartered Accountant, giving me a strong understanding of the legal, tax and financial issues that underpin effective wealth planning.

Service has always been important to me. I began my career as a police officer in Notting Hill before moving into financial advice, and I've continued to support my local community as a Community First Responder, school governor and by delivering financial education in schools.

Although I have an office in Nottingham, I work with clients across the UK, meeting in person or online. My aim is to build long-term relationships based on trust, straightforward advice and thoughtful planning that helps clients make confident financial decisions for themselves and future generations.
